01 / OUR STORY

From lived experience to lasting purpose.

Stronger communities begin with investing in people.

ANU Foundation was established on 13 September 2025 in Kalsegra, Nadowli District, in Ghana's Upper West Region. It grew from the founder's personal experiences of poverty, hardship and limited educational opportunities, and a commitment to restoring hope through service and compassion.

Those experiences shaped a belief that everyone deserves access to education, health, personal development and economic opportunity, regardless of their background.

Today, we support children, women, young people and vulnerable groups through community-based interventions that encourage inclusion, self-reliance and dignity.

Since its establishment, the Foundation has organized a Youth Empowerment Summit, bringing young people together for mentorship, leadership training, entrepreneurship education, career guidance and life skills. It has also commemorated International Women's Day, raising awareness of women's rights, gender equality, health and women's role in community and national development.

Through educational advocacy, mentorship, health awareness, humanitarian assistance, skills development and volunteer activities, the Foundation seeks to improve lives. It aims to work with government institutions, development partners, civil society, traditional authorities and community stakeholders to expand its impact.

Looking ahead, ANU Foundation envisions educational support programmes, vocational skills training centres, mentorship initiatives and care programmes for orphans, vulnerable children, women and disadvantaged youth. Innovation, partnership and community participation guide its commitment to a future of dignity and hope.
